Gig Harbor Little League is looking for JUNIOR UMPIRES, ages 11-18. COMPENSATION IS PROVIDED.

We are offering in-kind COMPENSATION to our junior umpires. We will be providing them with approximately $30 in gift cards to local stores, restaurants, and entertainment for each game they umpire. This is in addition to the free meal they receive from the snack shack after each game umpired. 

This is also a great opportunity for students to earn community service/volunteer hours for college applications, etc.

Parents, you are encouraged to umpire as well.  GHLL offers a Registration Re-imbursement Program that offers partial and full registration fee re-imbursement for umpiring games during the season.  Program details, requirements and forms can be found at gigharborlittleleague.org under the Umpires tab or by sending an email to [email protected]. 

All volunteer umpires receive a free meal from the snack shack after each game they umpire.

Gig Harbor Little League provides all necessary umpire equipment.

We do require all future umpires to attend at least one training session, our upcoming training schedule is below.

Our umpire staff is also available by appointment to provide you with training, answer questions, and umpire games with you.  Additionally there is information posted on the GHLL website under the umpire information tab including a power point presentation and links to an expanded rule book with explicit explanations, called the Rules Instruction Manual.
